OA2 Love Me Tender

Yum Yum, as we call her, had a rough start to life. She was breech with both hind legs tucked up under her. Thankfully Juergen had just taken a neonatal class and was able to deliver this little girl. Despite the fact that mom was totally worn out and not in any capacity to nurse Yum Yum for a couple of days, this little girl thrived.
Fast forward a couple of years and Yum's tough life saga continues. She contracted a barberpole parasite infection that left her near death and severely debilitated. This girl had such a will to live, that she survived two blood transfusions and many months of intense physical therapy just to literally get her back on her feet. All that down time caused an infection in her cush pad. Due to lifestyle changes, her new owners were not able to give her the care and attention this infection demanded. Though Yum tolerated the treatments which now involves a yearly trip to the vet for debridement, she is no fan.
Her genetics include Caligula, 6Peruvian Accoyo Amani, PPPeruvian Sunipani, and Sure Shot.
She was bred to Irish Meadows Peruvian Graphite for a Fall 2016 cria. The cria is here - a beautiful white female with a brilliant silky fleece. A textbook birth and plenty of milk.

She is a special needs alpaca looking for that special lifetime home. She is truly a miracle alpaca with a will to live. The vet says there is no issue with breeding her, so we did. MorningStar arrived Oct 2021. Yum is pregnant again for a Fall 2023 cria.
